At Parsons Family Dentistry, we only offer the highest quality treatments to our patients. To straighten your teeth, we can offer you traditional braces and treatment with ClearCorrect. When you come to see us for your initial consult, your dentist will examine your mouth and discuss your needs with you. Based on this, we will be able to help you decide which treatment is best for you.
Traditional braces use a metal bracket on each tooth, connected with wires, to shift the position of your teeth and straighten them. Over time, the wires will be tightened, slowly pulling your teeth into their new alignment.
ClearCorrect uses a series of custom-made, clear dental aligners to slowly shift the position of your teeth. The aligners are removable, meaning you can easily take them out to eat, play sports, and attend social functions.
The length of treatment will vary depending on the degree of correction needed and whether you choose traditional braces or clear aligners. However, most patients can expect treatment to take up to two years. After treatment has finished, you will need to wear a custom-made retainer to ensure that your teeth maintain their healthy new alignment.
With traditional braces, you will be required to visit us every six to eight weeks to get your wires tightened. With ClearCorrect, every two weeks, you will start wearing the next aligner. With either treatment, regular visits to us will be necessary to ensure that your treatment is proceeding as planned.
Whether or not you choose traditional braces or ClearCorrect will affect the cost of your orthodontic treatment, as will the extent of treatment required. What you can be sure of, however, is that Parsons Family Dentistry will offer you high-quality and affordable orthodontic solutions for you or your teen.
